International Women’s Day is celebrated on 8th of March every year to recognize women for their achievements without regard to divisions, whether national, ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic or political.

In 1908, 15,000 women marched through New York City demanding shorter working hours, better pay and the right to vote. A year later, the Socialist Party of America declared the first National Woman’s Day. Later it become a recognised annual event by the United Nations (UN).

On this eve, we are organizing a workshop for all women
to bring awareness about the importance of waste management and how women can help in waste handling to limit the plastic pollution
