Position Overview:
The Communications Head is responsible for developing and implementing an effective communications strategy that enhances the organization’s brand, reputation, and overall communication efforts. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a deep understanding of various communication channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy that aligns with the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Manage all internal and external communications, including press releases, newsletters, website content, and social media.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including media outlets, partners, and community members.
- Oversee the creation of marketing materials, such as brochures, videos, and presentations.
- Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of communication strategies and make adjustments as necessary.
- Provide strategic communication counsel to senior leadership and other departments within the organization.
- Manage a team of communication professionals, including writers, designers, and social media specialists.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in communication and marketing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing communication strategies in a corporate or nonprofit setting.
- Strong writing, editing, and presentation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of digital marketing and social media platforms.
- Experience managing a team of communication professionals is a plus.
