The first day of the Thotlakonda Cleanup Drive was a success! In addition to our IYFS volunteers, approximately 55 participants, including members from the Department of Archaeology, individual volunteers, and GVMC staff, joined hands to make an impact.
Today, we managed to clean a portion of the site, and we’ll continue with a new area tomorrow. Ms. Jayshree, a heritage narrator, and Mr. Visweshar Rao provided insightful explanations about the history of Thotlakonda, the Buddhist way of life, and the ancient monastic school that once thrived here.
We welcome everyone to join us tomorrow at 6:00 AM as we continue this meaningful work.
